Freedom?
Tags: BigMay 2nd, 2006Today up on the bench is freedom, I want to discuss exactly what freedom is, why so many of us want it and at present how free we really are..
Ok, I feel freedom is only a word, I feel its a term to clearly define what every human, every creature and every inanimate object deserves as its basic rights. I mean if no-one can own a humna, then why are humans allowed to own animals? Is it because we have to look after them? Then why dont we own our children? And maybe we do own our children, but until what point do they essentially become free? All of these are rhetorical questions obviously, however they do raise a fair point of how and why we feel the need to impose our own terms on absolutely everything.
Why do we own the table in the front room? This is a question I would like answered, most would say.
Because I bought it with my own money damnit! Its mine, no-one elses and whats all this stuff about trees needing to be free hippy!
So that’s whats its come down to again. Money? Ok, so why cant I go out and buy dead bodies, as essentially thats all that table is? Indecency maybe, and kinda because its gross. But I feel that the freedom of things, espically humans is very different to alot of people suggest.
Over this weekend I got rather angry, yet again. Over the past 3 years I have watched a number of anti-bush videos, that suggest he is a very different man to what the majority believe to be true. These videos suggest he wants to crush a large segment of the globes population, all through his “War on Terror”. These videos suggest that he, and his regime masterminded the terrible attacks in September 2001. To be honest, after watching a number of these videos, gathering alot of different opinions I can see there point. Everything these videos bring up is pure fact, no half-truths, all fact. Personally I think that these videos deserve a slot on prime-time Television, as they showcase exactly how big the problem is and how little we can do about it alone.
This brings me back to freedom. Freedom is whatever you make it I believe, if you think we have freedom now, then great. But to be honest I feel freedom is the right to say anything you wish, which at present is not quite correct, Treason Laws anybody? I feel that while we are still using Petrol in our cars and still seeing any member of the Bush Family in the White House then im afraid to say this world is not free, its a product of alot of peoples rather twisted fantasies. But heck, what can we do?
